Collaboration House Psychology can provide many types of Medicare supported mental health services, here are some below. We currently provide Telehealth sessions only.

Bushfire Recovery Initiative

Better Access Mental Healthcare Initiative (BAMHI) In-Person

Individuals with a referral from their GP or psychiatrist and a current Mental Health Treatment Plan are eligible to receive standard Medicare rebates for up to10 psychological therapy sessions per calendar year (sessions 1-10; individual and group). 

Once the BAMHI 10 rebates have been accessed in a calendar year, , BAMHI Plus can be used; an individual is eligible to access a further 10 standard Medicare rebates therapy sessions per calendar year (sessions 11-20). Duration of BAMHI Plus In-Person services only is 30 Jun 2022.

COVID-19 Telehealth Initiative (COIVID Telehealth)

Individuals with a referral from their GP or psychiatrist and a current Mental Health Treatment Plan are eligible to receive standard Medicare rebates for up to 10 psychological therapy sessions per calendar year (individual and group). Duration of COVID Telehealth 31 Mar 2021.

Once the COVID-19 Telehealth10 rebates have been accessed in a calendar year, COVID Plus can be used; an individual is eligible to access a further 10 standard Medicare rebates therapy sessions per calendar year (sessions 11-20). Duration of COVID Plus In-Person services only is 31 Mar 2021.

Medicare Bushfire Recovery Initiative (MBRI) and Medicare Bushfire Recovery Telehealth Initiative (MBRTI)

Individuals, families, and emergency response personnel affected by bushfires in 2019-2020 are eligible to receive standard Medicare rebates for up to 10 psychological therapy sessions in-person and telehealth. Those affected by fires do not need a mental health plan from a GP or a diagnosed mental illness to obtain these servicesDuration of MBRI to 31 Dec 2021.
