Feeling Sick: Should I still come in?

We understand that it is important to attend therapy.

We are getting into that part of the year when colds, flu, and other illnesses are floating around. Sometimes this might happen when you have an appointment scheduled at Collaboration House Psychology. If you are unwell with a viral or gastric infection, we would prefer that you reschedule your appointment.

A few general requests: Within 48 hours of your appointment, please call or email us and reschedule if you (or anyone attending with you) have:

  • Been vomiting or have had diarrhea in the last 48 hours

  • A heavy cold or flu-like symptoms (i.e., coughing, sore throat, fatigue)

  • A fever

  • Any contagious disease or virus

  • Traveled overseas recently, or travel from domestic COVID-19 restricted areas

  • Been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19.

In the clinic, we will continue to encourage good hand hygiene (hand sanitiser is available in the office and washroom), and cough and sneeze etiquette (i.e., into the elbow or into a tissue).

If you are unwell, we want you to get better! And Thank You in advance for your help to protect the health of your psychologist and the community at 45 Haig Street.
